Nicole Pryor

This is Nicole Pryor, Behavioral Healthcare Manager for the last two years at the UWM College of Nursing Wellness Center here at the SSNC. With a grant ending and her moving on to Molina Health, unfortunately today is her last day. We wanted to take a moment to thank her and share the incredible things she’s contributed to the community!

For her entire career, she’s been doing work such as case management, working with individuals with mental illness. She’s worked in sober living centers and has a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Something she’s incredibly proud of is having the opportunity to knock down the barriers of mental health stigmas in her community. She’s thankful to have gotten to know, help, serve, and work with so many individuals.

One reason she thinks she’s been so effective helping our community is she is the community. A resident of 53218, she is passionate about assisting those around.

Her favorite quote is by Dr. Cornel West stating: “You can’t lead the people if you don’t love the people….You can’t save the people if you don’t serve the people.” We think that pretty much sums up Nicole’s amazing outlook on life!

When asked what she would like to share, Nicole said she would like to thank her team, administration, office support staff, and partnerships at both Silver Spring Neighborhood Center and House of Peace, for granting her the opportunity to work as the Behavioral Health Care Manager in communities she is so passionate about.

We, and those we serve, will all miss Nicole here at the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center. She has touched many lives and we know she will continue that wherever she goes. That’s why she is our… HERO OF THE WEEK!
